My Opinion About DigitalPlayground:
I don't think that I've ever seen the site Digital Playground, but I've definitely heard of the company. Innovators in the adult industry, the company has produced some of the top-selling porn movies of all time, including "Virtual Sex with Jenna Jameson". However, the site doesn't actually have even one movie listed with Jameson, although popular series, like "Island Fever", are featured.
The site design is sleek and they use a bit of Flash to make it all the more flashy. Navigating is made easy. You can find content by series titles, by performers and by hardcore category keywords. Newest movies and galleries and top member picks are also easy to find. Extras include trailers, behind-the-scenes videos and live chat. There are virtual TV video streams and of course there are the movies and photos, some of which are exclusive DigitalPlayground (DP) productions and others that are not. DP contract chicks like Jesse Jane, Jana Cova, Tera Patrick and Teagan Presley are readily available and easy to find and there's a list of 570 additional stars, male and female, that you can find in an alphabetical list.
Glamour photos are abundant in the picture gallery, which isn't much of a surprise to me. There are some candid sets that you'll find if you look around and even some highly charged erotic photos. There are some hardcore movie still shots, too. All in all, there are 720 sets and each one contains around 25 pictures. The 600x400 images are a bit small for my taste and you can't download any set or even individual photos. Saying it sort of sucks would be an understatement.
There are 168 exclusive DVD titles listed. Another 72 are available in the virtual TV area. When you select a DVD then you will be taken to the view page. Here, you'll get a full list of stars, the year the film was released, and a synopsis of the hardcore. The length of a video can be anywhere from 70 to 120 minutes. Again, there's nothing to download here. You can stream the full-length movie or there are 20-minute full scenes that you can view. If you want to keep content for yourself, then you will need to purchase it. The movie 'Scream', featuring Jesse Jane, was $29.00 if you wanted to buy the film outright. The VOD price tag was $11.00 and that's for 14 days of viewing. It didn't seem like such a great deal to me. However, the VOD features are available in a variety of HD format options, including iPod.
When you want to view an episode or a scene, then they automatically play in a high-speed embedded Flash player. Here's a low-speed option, too. The screen size is fair at about 852x540. The videos will begin playing almost immediately. My suggestion is to pause it until it loads, otherwise it looks like a pretty choppy image. This could be due to the fact that I was watching it on wireless, though. Once it loaded, the film played smoothly, although I wasn't really impressed with the image quality. On the other hand the performances and hardcore were, well, they sent me into a wildly feverish state of horniness. I don't think I've ever seen Jesse Jane perform up until this point, but my god, is she one ravenous vixen. In fact, I think she just became one of my favourites!
Final Verdict:
Fans of Digital Playground and their plethora of pornstars will love that there are exclusive streaming movies that you can watch. The films are well-produced and the hardcore can be breathlessly steamy at times. Navigating the content is easy, but I did feel a bit let down that there weren't any downloads, not even photo downloads. Despite that Jesse Jane lit my fire, I still wasn't overwhelmingly pleased with not being able to keep anything.
